Joy as Ruth returns to TV after marriage breakdown

SMILING Ruth Langsford said it was “nice to be back” as she returned to TV after a break of more than two months due to her split from Eamonn Holmes.

Sources close to Ruth, 64, say she had been left hurt and upset over her marriage breakdown. And after feeling let down by Eamonn, she did not mention him or the divorce, in a clear sign she wants to move on.

Opening the show, Ruth said: “Welcome to your first Loose Women of the week, it’s great to have your company.”

Her co-star Coleen Nolan chipped in: “Can I just say, I am so, so happy you are back.”
