IT'S been difficult to ignore salmon recently.

The Fish of the Week entries reflect what's going on around the country and there are certainly salmon in the systems and being caught.

Tough to see when you're stuck at work, but a few friends and colleagues have made sure to send me the results of their successful trips.

Online everyone can check out "Catch and Release - Small Changes, Big Impact" on Fishery Management Scotland's YouTube channel.

With an introduction by angling legend Paul Young, it's beautifully filmed, showing off fine Scottish streams and rivers and raising awareness and promoting responsible angling for our most famous of fish.

It covers practices such as access, equipment, handling, and aftercare - each crucial to ensuring they can complete their life cycle in our rivers.
