The proposal - fronted by England World Cup winner Mike Tindall - will see teams touring the globe Grand Prix style from this time next year.

Organisers hope to attract some of the world’s best players to sign up, with salaries of up to £750,000 a year.

But all of the leading rugby nations - including Scotland - have come together to warn anyone considering it that they won't be considered for international selection.
