MARK WILSON says new Jag Alex Samuel put him to shame after going from two months without a club to blitzing the famed Bronco fitness test in baking heat.

And the Partick Thistle boss insists the striker's new teammates will go full pelt to serve up the chances to prove he can be a lethal force at Firhill.

The Welshman, 29, left Ross County in June but returned to the Scottish game this week, with a debut in the offing today.

Wilson said: “Incredible fitness levels for somebody who's been out.

“I've been there where I've had a long summer without a club and I certainly didn't come back in the nick Alex has.
