Bid to free GPS up to see more patients
PHARMACISTS will soon be able to write out sick notes in an effort to free up overworked GPS.
The move from July 1 will mean nurses, occupational therapists and physios will also be able to legally certify "fit notes".
It comes amid a collapse in general practice as Covid backlogs mean it is harder than ever to see a family doctor.
