Charity hero Craig beats huge fundraising target after gruelling 3000-mile trek across the States

SCOTLAND superfan Craig Ferguson has reached Boston on his epic 3000-mile Tartan Trek across America - raising more than £1million for men's mental health. The inspirational campaigner reached the city at about 2pm local time yesterday after more than 100 gruelling days crossing the US on foot in his charity drive for Scottish Action for Mental Health (SAMH).

Hundreds of Scotland fans arrived to welcome the Paisley man as they sang the national anthem.

Arriving at Boston Common to the sound of bagpipes, an emotional Craig, who was mobbed by the world’s media, said: “I will never ever be able to find the words to describe this.

“No one will ever know how hard that was.

“Every part of that - the walking - I said I would do it. I said I'd raise £1million. We hit it for men’s mental health.

“And every single one of you have supported it from the start and believed that I could do it.
