Mum's plea after medics missed Ava's fatal cancer

A MUM has warned parents to be on their guard after her daughter's tummy bug turned out to be a fatal brain tumour.
Jackie Dunlop, 38, became concerned when Ava, 10, had headaches and sickness for three weeks.
The family's GP in Kilwinning, Ayrshire, and her local hospital said it was a viral or gastric bug.
