Woman speaks out after predator gets six years

A RAPE victim has told how she was viciously attacked by her best friend's husband as his children slept upstairs.

Sarah Glen, 39, was raped by David Devine, 44, at his family home in Busby, near Glasgow, in December 2022. The predator pounced on the mum of three moments after his wife went to check on their children.

The sickening assault only came to an end after Devine was pulled away from the mum by his horrified wife who had returned to their living room. Devine was convicted of raping and sexually assaulting Sarah at the High Court in Edinburgh. He was caged for six years on Thursday.

Speaking after sentencing, Sarah told the Record:

"There are no words to describe what this monster has put me through.

"I had not long since split up from my husband and at the time, I was devastated and vulnerable.

"My friend invited myself and my children over to her home so she could offer me condolences.
