Lions to be cautious with Gowser return

DAVID MARTINDALE feels he needs to treat skipper Ryan McGowan with caution even if the Aussie has Ibrox tomorrow in his diary for a comeback.

The Livingston centre-back hasn't taken to the pitch since a goalless draw at Aberdeen on September 13, having gone into hospital five days later.

McGowan, 36, spent three-and-a-half weeks in there with a nasty infection, which had to be cut out of his calf as he lost close to 8kg.
