Dodgy banker started installation business after narrowly avoiding jail Substandard work left unfinished with homes 'looking like a bombsite' Scammer then worked for dad..who also owes people huge sums
A CROOKED banker who tried to pocket cash from customers is at the centre of fresh claims he is a kitchen conman.
Dayne Lynn narrowly avoided jail in 2019 after he dipped into two accounts in a bid to steal £75,000.
He admitted the charges but claimed at the time that he'd been targeted by criminals on the dark web, who had supposedly coerced him to carry out the theft.
Lynn, from Saltcoats in Ayrshire, has branched out into the fittedkitchen business but his latest ventures have sparked fury from customers who say they have lost cash deposits or had substandard work done.
The Daily Record can reveal Lynn, 27, has recently been involved with two kitchen and bathroom installation companies that went out of business, leaving customers out of pocket.
The Divine Kitchens Scotland Ltd company - of which Lynn was sole director - was struck off the company register in December 2023.
Lynn later took on work as a salesman with his dad Scott's company, Fresh Bathrooms and Kitchens Ltd, which is now being wound up.Some clients paid thousands of pounds just weeks before the liquidation of Scott Lynn's firm began on September 13- and don't believe they will see a penny back.
Several posted on the Scotland's Scammers Facebook page.
Kayleigh McKendrick said: "Some of us have had work done at a terrible standard and in need of major repair. Some of us have paid deposits and received nothing, "But there are tens of thousands of pounds taken by these people." Carin Hamilton, from Possilpark, Glasgow, paid £3450 in cash to Dayne Lynn in July, for a job due to start in September.
