Euro and world champs swimmer is making a splash in special goggles

CHAMPION swimmer Beth Greig has told how new prescription goggles from her optician transformed her performance in the pool.

Beth, 24, competes with the GB Down Syndrome Squad and has qualified for two World Championships and three European Championships.

But poor eyesight was affecting her performance in the pool.

Now she has been fitted with a specially produced pair of goggles at her local Specsavers.

"I basically can't see without my glasses.

"When I first started swimming, I had to wear normal goggles and everything was a blur I couldn't even see the other end of the pool.
