Scott looks to get ‘career back on track’ with faith in Dingwall
-
AS rough luck goes, it was just about as bad as it gets for a star signing tipped for great things.
James Scott's first training session at Hull City lasted 50 seconds before he crumpled in agony with an ankle injury.
The 19-year-old, fresh from a £1.5million move from Motherwell, was widely regarded as a talent with the potential to reach the top.
But one accidental misstep on a marker cone in January 2020 brought ligament damage so severe it ruled him out of the remainder of the season.
Now 25, Scott feels like he has been unable to catch a break during a career spiral.
It has taken him from Hull to Hibs on loan, then Exeter and now St Mirren.
After a heart-to-heart with mentor Stephen Robinson this summer, Ross County was the chosen destination for a loan deal he believes can reignite that career potential.
