I'M BACKING JACK TO CAP A RAPID RISE

ANDREW CONSIDINE reckons a Scotland call-up won't be far away if Jack Milne keeps up his meteoric rise at Aberdeen.

The Pittodrie legend has been full of praise for the way in which the latest academy graduate has eased into the heart of Jimmy Thelin's defence.

The 22-year-old was a surprise starter in last season's Scottish Cup Final and hasn't looked back as he's gone on to become a regular on the teamsheet.

Former long-serving defender Considine said: “He's putting in really good performances. Other than maybe notching a couple of goals from set-plays, he has shown everything else in his game.

“The next step - and I know it's maybe quite a big step - is surely in his head he's probably thinking Scotland.

“With all due respect, Grant Hanley and players like that have been unbelievable servants for Scotland.
