Sir Chris helps cycling team gear up for £1m Tour de 4 fundraiser

SIR Chris Hoy hailed supporters helping him raise awareness of people living with stage four cancer ahead of his major cycling event.

The six-time Olympic champ visited Glasgow to give a talk before Sunday's Tour de 4, which aims to raise £1million for charity.

The 49-year-old, who revealed last year he has incurable Stage 4 prostate cancer, met Chris Donnelly, who is taking on the challenge after losing his uncle Tam to the disease and supporting his dad James through the illness.

The 33-year-old dad-of-one is part of a 12-strong cycling team from event partner ScottishPower.
