THE SNP government has been branded "shameful" after it was revealed that more than 10,000 children were in temporary accommodation last year.

The number of households in the same situation has risen by six per cent.

Maeve McGoldrick of homelessness charity Crisis Scotland, said: "These figures are proof of a homelessness system at breaking point."
