Higgins slams Saudi event after being told to change in loo

SCOTTISH snooker legend John Higgins blasted organisers after being told to get changed in a toilet at the big-money Riyadh Snooker Championship.

Last week's event in Saudi Arabia boasted a $1million bonus for making a never-before-seen golden ball 167 break.

But when all-time great Higgins asked where he could get changed before his match he was offered under the stairs behind a curtain or a toilet cubicle.

Higgins, 50, is the chairman of the newly-formed Professional Snooker Players Association and is seeking improvements to the tournament playing experience.
