INTER MILAN'S bittersweet season ended in yet more pain as the Italian giants missed out on a FIFTH trophy to end the campaign without silverware.
A third-minute header from German Cano and Hercules’ injury-time killer was enough to split the sides in Charlotte.
Inter had already missed out on the Serie A title by a point, were runners-up in the Italian Super Cup and Champions League, while they went out in the Coppa Italia semi-finals.
