Fury as SNP leaves £1bn unspent

Surplus while public services crumble
THE SNP government has recorded a £1billion underspend despite accusing Westminster of continuing austerity.
The figure was contained in its 2024-25 accounts. John Swinney’s administration spent £56.3billion last year - £1billion less than the total budget.
It comes after the Scottish Government claimed the UK Government had not provided sufficient funding.
