AN emotional Sean Everitt last night hailed one of the best performances in his two-and-a-half years in charge of Edinburgh.

The Gunners got their Champions Cup campaign off to a flying start last night with a superb win over three-time European titleholders Toulon.

And Everitt said: “I'm proud of the boys and the effort they put in tonight, at home and being under the pump after 10 minutes.

“Being 10-0 down and then showing composure, knowing what needed to be done. We haven't lost this season at home yet.

“I’m just happy for the guys and the way the forward pack got stuck into a quality outfit.

“The boys can be really proud of their efforts and the physicality they showed in the set-pieces.”
