Divorce battle brother-in-law is on a mission to find Whyte's 'hidden millions'

Estranged love says tycoon's sibling has money in mystery firms overseas | He wants a share of funds from companies set up by ex-lbrox chief

- BY MARK MCGIVERN Chief Reporter

CLAIMS of disgraced former Rangers owner Craig Whyte's "hidden millions" are at the centre of a bitter divorce battle.

The businessman's sister Adelle is in divorce proceedings with Derek Miller who wants an equal share of any cash she made from companies set up by her brother.

Adelle and Derek emigrated to Canada from Scotland before their marriage collapsed in acrimony.

He believes millions may have been banked in firms set up by Whyte in the Netherlands and Hong Kong, of which Adelle was a director or owner.

Government agencies, including the Insolvency Service, Companies House and the trustee in Whyte's 2015 bankruptcy have been contacted as Miller battles to establish if there are any funds and where - to which he believes he would be entitled to a half share.

A source said: "She is connected to her brother in important roles in firms that turned over large amounts of cash but the questions may come down to how much she knew and how much money, if any, she made from her involvement with her brother.

"As is normal with Whyte, there's a complex chain of companies in different countries and a merry-goround of directorship changes.
