James fears England's chance could melt in US summer heat

- BY JOHN CROSS

REECE JAMES has issued a World Cup heat warning as he admitted England are in for a “super difficult" time if they intend to be the last ones standing.

The 25-year-old had to cope with scorching 40-degree temperatures when Chelsea won the Club World Cup in the United States in the summer.

The Stamford Bridge skipper also warned the pitches were substandard while games were played when it was “hot and humid” due to kickoff times.

‘And James reckons it will leave Thomas Tuchel's side needing to clear major hurdles to get close to success.

The right-back said: “It’s super difficult conditions to play in that heat, especially us playing in England - theres not anything like that before.

“You feel the heat the minute you step outside the hotel.
