IBROX LEGEND WRITES EXCLUSIVELY FOR YOU EVERY WEEK

Scottish football in general is all about. That's life.

I do think there were times during that period when some of the supporters were growing a bit concerned and wondering if the Americans were taking their club in the right direction.

But a couple of months ago Andrew showed real leadership when he came back to Glasgow, rolled up his sleeves and took ownership of what was going wrong.

He admitted that mistakes had been made along the way.

And he made a promise to fix them.

Now here we are, heading into the second half of the season, with a new manager in the dugout and Rangers sitting above Celtic in the league table for the first time in more than 500 days just three points behind Hearts.

Cavenagh made three huge decisions at that critical point in removing Russell Martin, Kevin Thelwell and Patrick Stewart.

It was certainly a ballsy move by the chairman and the evidence is now there to show it was the right one.

The fans who might have been worried about where the club was going are now settled and excited again.

And I'm delighted about that because Andrew and the rest of the board can now get to experience for themselves what Ibrox feels like when the place is bouncing and everyone is pulling together. It's a special place. There's nowhere else in football quite like it.
