DAILY RECORD HELPS DRIVERS WIN PAYOUTS
CAR owners have won thousands in compensation after contaminated fuel wrecked their vehicles.
The motorists, who were left with huge repair bills after filling up at a Morrisons Kirkcaldy pump won the payouts when Motor Fuel Group admitted liability for supplying the tainted fuel following a Record probe.
In August, David Stockwell from Aberdour, Fife, bought premium diesel there.
Days later, his wife Katharine was driving their 2012 Volkswagen Golf when it lost all power.
