Celtic thrill rides could be over now old master Mart is back at the helm
-
CELTIC fans are glad to see the back of Wilfried Nancy and the bookies will also have popped a few champagne corks when the Frenchman was finally axed.
Those laying the odds paid a heavy price for continually overestimating the Hoops' chances when it was clear they were in freefall under Nancy.
I made a few quid betting against Celtic in the League Cup Final and their Premiership clash with Motherwell but the biggest mistake the bookies made was making Nancy's side odds-on favourites for last week's derby.
I'm sure I wasn't the only one who lumped on Gers at just under 3/1 and a 3-1 defeat duly brought the axe down on the Parkhead manager.
Dermot Desmond sent out the Bat Signal for Martin O'Neill once more and the 74-year-old is now back at the Parkhead helm for the rest of the season.
The old solider got a tune out of a poor squad during his first spell as interim boss, coming out on top in seven of his eight games in charge.
