Astley raring to go after ‘weird' time out for concussion

RYAN ASTLEY insists he is fully fit and raring to go again for Dundee after suffering the first concussion of his career.

The Welshman picked up the head knock against Livingston two weeks ago.

Initially, he was determined to play on but when he started experiencing problems with his vision, he had to come off with 29 minutes on the clock.

It was the first injury the defender had picked up since joining Dundee from Everton in January last year.

Astley admitted it felt weird having to sit out last week's defeat at Motherwell but he is ready to make his mark once more in a crunch clash with Falkirk at Dens today.
