Woman was sexually assaulted while asleep during 'horrific' crime

A 54-year-old man sexually assaulted a woman as she lay asleep in bed. Vincent Davies attacked the victim in the middle of the night in Connah's Quay, Flintshire.
When he was confronted the following day, he apologised to the victim before fleeing.
He was arrested the following day and subsequently charged and remanded into custody.
Davies, of no fixed abode, admitted a charge of sexual assault by penetration following the incident in August.
