STORM INGRID COULD DEAL A GLANCING BLOW TO UK

A DEEP Atlantic low heading towards the UK has been named Storm Ingrid by the Portuguese meteorological service.

The system is expected to deal Britain a glancing blow as it moves north on Friday, January 23, before spinning west towards Ireland.
Heavy rain, potentially turning to snow on the Welsh mountains, could be accompanied by strong winds. Wales and south west England are in the line of fire.
