Rescuers sound alarm as under-24s dominate Crib Goch callouts

RESCUERS have faced multiple calls to a knife edge ridge in Eryri - with a certain demographic to blame.

Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team said November was a busy month, with 22 callouts in total - 15 of which required full team deployments.

A significant number of these incidents were on Crib Goch, the ridge which is part of the Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) range. This location accounted for seven callouts alone - 33% of all their November rescues.
