PRIVACY FEARS VOICED OVER SUPPORTED LIVING FLATS PLAN

PLANS to demolish a Rhyl bungalow and replace it with three blocks of supported living flats have sparked concerns from neighbours worried about privacy, disruption and environmental impact.

David Waltho, of St Davids Care Limited, has submitted an application to Denbighshire Council for the development at 36 St Davids, East Parade, Rhyl.

The proposal includes knocking down an existing detached bungalow and erecting three apartment blocks, creating 17 supported living flats with communal space. The development would also include access, parking, and landscaping.

The site forms part of the curtilage associated with St Davids Residential Care Home and sits near a mix of private homes and care facilities. As part of the pre-application consultation, neighbours were contacted living at The Lawn, Russell Gardens, Russell Road, Belmont House Care Home, The Coach House on Tarleton Street, Fairfield Avenue, Glendower Court, East Parade, Glan y Don, and Brandon Court.
