Police sack inspector after drink driving offence

GROSS MISCONDUCT DISMISSAL AS CHIEF CONSTABLE SAYS SERIOUSNESS 'COMPOUNDED BY SENIOR RANK'
A NORTH Wales Police inspector has been dismissed from the force after being caught drink driving.
It was reported last month that Inspector Andrew Griffiths, 55, was convicted of drink driving at a Chester Magistrates Court hearing.
On Friday (August 8) at a North Wales Police gross misconduct hearing, the committee found Insp Griffiths to be guilty of gross misconduct.
He was dismissed from the force and placed on the College of Policing barred list.
