Maupay’s digs could come back to haunt him

ONE of Neal Maupay’s sniping online predictions about Everton could be about to come true.

Although not in a way in which the French forward would necessarily want.

The striker, who scored just one goal for the Blues in 32 appearances, is currently on loan at Marseille and is set to leave Goodison Park on a permanent deal this summer.

The French club have an obligation to make his loan deal a full-time one.

Although he is still an Everton player, Maupay (above) has taken frequent digs at the club and their supporters in the last couple of years.

The forward infamously posted a meme from the Shawshank Redemption in the summer after his exit from the Blues was confirmed.

He also tweeted a dig at Everton after they lost to Nottingham Forest in December: “Whenever I’m having a bad day I just check the Everton score and smile.”
