Man thrown out of bar hid behind bush to attack partner

A man who was thrown out of a bar waited for his partner to emerge then attacked her.

Lloyd Thomas hid behind a bush in Rhyl and when Mia Flynn came out he punched her.

A male companion tried to help, but Thomas, 33, threatened him with a knife.

While in prison on remand and outside prison Thomas repeatedly harassed Ms Flynn, telling her she got what she deserved.

She had needed a head wound to be glued after the attack, Mold Crown Court heard.

Yesterday, a judge jailed Thomas for 18 months for assault causing actual bodily harm following the incident in Rhyl.

Prosecutor Amy Edwards told how Thomas was with Mia Flynn at Tinker’s Bar in Rhyl on June 1. Both had been drinking and staff refused to serve either of them.
