Major hospital work 'to start within weeks'

WORK on a new North Wales hospital facility will start "within weeks".

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board has appointed MTX Contracts to deliver the development to transform the historic Royal Alexandra hospital in Rhyl.

Backed by £33m in Welsh Government funding the project was confirmed last month and work will begin in the spring.

While the investment has been welcomed it comes after years of delays and complaints that the development has been reduced in scale.
