I wasn't sure but Reds are getting it right

WITH seven players signed and just as many sold during a busy summer transfer window so far at Liverpool, there is some concern the turnover has been too high at Anfield.
For a squad who were able to go four games in May without a victory and still win the Premier League title by 10 points, it's a fair stance to adopt.
However, the numbers for a club who have traditionally thought that less is more in the window in recent years are skewed somewhat by the arrival of three goalkeepers in Giorgi Mamardashvili, Armin Pecsi and Freddie Woodman, who will all start the season behind current first choice Alisson Becker.
That being said, Arne Slot is still attempting to integrate a new fullback pairing in Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez alongside a new No.10 in Florian Wirtz and striker Hugo Ekitike.
Liverpool have paid out around £320m in what has been the biggest spending transfer window in their history and with more targets desired in Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak and Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi, that figure may eventually skirt the edges of a scarcely believable figure of a half billion before the September 1 deadline.
"It's been an active summer," former Liverpool striker Michael Owen tells the ECHO, via 247Bet.
"I'm not sure what the numbers and stats are, but I can't remember a team that won the league and then made so many changes over the summer as this one.
"I didn't really foresee it, to be honest. I thought there would only be a couple, but it's been quite a lot of changes, with the promise of more.
"Obviously, the big question is: can you make so many changes and still keep that continuity straight away?
"That's something we'll only know in time. It's been incredibly exciting. The fans are very excited. I fancied Liverpool to win the league again this season.
