CHRISTMAS EVE

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse BBC1, 2.55pm

After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Miles Morales aka Brooklyn's friendly neigh-bourhood Spider-Man, finds himself catapulted across the Multiverse where he meets a society of Spider-People from different dimensions. Can they save the Multiverse from villainous scientist The Spot? A fun and dizzying tumble through Marvel Comics storylines.

Love Actually ITV1, 9.10pm

Emma Thompson, Bill Nighy, Alan Rickman, Colin Firth, Liam Neeson, Keira Knightley and Martin Freeman are among those finding and losing love in this shamelessly cute seasonal romcom from Richard Curtis. Hugh Grant steals the show as the Prime Minister falling for his tea lady (Martine McCutcheon).

The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel 5, 3.25pm

Judi Dench, Tom Wilkinson, Celia Imrie and Maggie Smith are among a group of retirees who abandon Britain for a Jaipur retirement home in this heartwarming comedy.

However, when they arrive, they discover a dilapidated building and a stressed, inexperienced manager, Sonny (Dev Patel).

CHRISTMAS DAY

White Christmas BBC2, 1pm

Possibly the ultimate Christmas movie and set to the immortal music of Irving Berlin, this classic from the golden era of Hollywood stars Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye as a song-and-dance duo who join forces with a sister act (Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen) to save a failing inn in Vermont.

Frozen 2 Channel 4, 3.10pm
