OSPREYS ARAN AND ELEN RETURN TO THEIR NEWLY RESTORED NEST
A PAIR of ospreys named Aran and Elen have been reunited at a nest in the beautiful Glaslyn Valley for their third breeding season.
Elen arrived at the Caernarfon site on Saturday, March 22, three weeks before Aran, who arrived at 3.40am on Saturday, April 12.
While Elen waited, she had a new young suitor, but once Alan returned, he regained control of the nest and brought fish to re-establish his suitability as a partner.
Aran's previous mate was Mrs G, one of the UK's most successful breeding female ospreys, but she failed to return in 2023.
