Everton 'most likely' place for Sunderland starlet Rigg to move

SUNDERLAND prodigy Chris Rigg has been encouraged to move to Everton this summer over some more illustrious Premier League teams.

The 17-year-old is being tracked by the Blues, but is also said to have received interest from Newcastle United, Chelsea and Manchester United.

A major squad overhaul feels inevitable at Everton this summer, as 14 players are currently set to see either their contract expire or their loan agreement end.

It means manager David Moyes and the club's new-look recruitment team could be busy, that following the confirmed departure of Kevin Thelwell at the end of the current campaign.

After the December takeover by The Friedkin Group, the Blues are believed to be in a better position to spend in the market.

Supporters will also hope to see some young players arrive, especially as the club look to build an exciting new team to match their new stadium at Bramley Moore.
