Boss fumes after Keane appeal is rejected by FA

DAVID MOYES came out swinging after Everton confirmed their appeal against Michael Keane’s red card he received against Wolves was rejected by an FA panel.

Keane was sent off, after a review by VAR, for pulling the hair of Tolu Arokodare in an aerial challenge late in Wednesday's game.

Everton lodged an appeal against the decision, but that was rejected by the FA. As a result, the centre-back will now miss the Blues’ next three games.

Everton released a statement confirming the decision shortly before Moyes spoke to the media to preview today’s FA Cup tie against Sunderland.

And while the club were “disappointed” with the decision, Moyes was furious, especially after seeing Gabriel Martinelli receive only a booking for shoving an injured Conor Bradley off the pitch in stoppage time of Arsenal’s 0-0 draw with Liverpool on Thursday.
