Boost for hospital will mean cut to parking capacity

HEALTH chiefs have announced plans that will help tackle waiting times but also reduce car parking spaces at a North Wales hospital.

Parking is already a problem at Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor.

It is due to get worse from this weekend under plans announced by health chiefs.

A temporary Endoscopy Unit will be moved into place outside the main hospital tomorrow.

This is good news for patients by helping significantly reduce waiting times for diagnostic endoscopy procedures. It could be potentially lifesaving for some.

But the downside is that it will be sited in the maternity ward car park.
