An abandoned development next to the Menai Strait is on the market.

The former Marine Hotel site on Ffordd Y Gogledd, Caernarfon, has planning in place for a five-storey apartment block.

It had been owned by Malaysian Invest Ltd who started on the 15-apartment project. A proportion of the groundworks has already been partially completed on site.

But work ground to a halt a number of years ago as the company ran into financial difficulties. It is now on the market with Dafydd Hardy.

They said: “Undoubtedly a superb opportunity for a developer to acquire a large Development Plot/ Land, situated in a prime location within the historic castle town of Caernarfon overlooking the scenic Menai Strait to the coastline of the Isle of Anglesey.
