£1.3M SCHEME WILL IMPROVE PEDESTRIAN & CYCLING LINKS

A SECTION of the A55 is to close for several nights in June to enable active travel improvements on Anglesey.
The work being carried out is part of a £1.3m scheme to improve pedestrian and cycling links between Holyhead and Trearddur Bay.
This will see a 2.5-mile multi-user path created. This impacts the area around Junction 2 of the A55 in Holyhead.
New footways are being built on access roads and there will be new pedestrian crossings over A55 slip roads. To improve safety, a new bridge parapet is also planned at the junction.
