'You could see he had talent'

PAUL O'Grady's first love with whom he went on to have his daughter has spoken for the first time about their relationship.

Diane Jansen met Paul when she was 26 - they both worked at Liverpool magistrates court.

He was nine years her junior and was, according to her, "a catch, very handsome".

Diane says she always knew that Paul liked both men and women: "We didn't think of it as being gay or straight back then.

"Paul was always acting out films and musicals, and he loved to dress up.

"You could see that the talent was there."
