The Cabinet ministers were joined on stage by former shadow minister Jonathan Ashworth at our do at Labour's gathering in Liverpool.
The event began poignantly as Justice minister Alex DaviesJones brought guests to tears with a rendition of Liverpool anthem You'll Never Walk Alone, flanked by Hillsborough campaigners.
