Runner hit by car in fatal crash after fraud trial with IT tycoon

A RUNNER was fatally hit by a car in an unavoidable crash just weeks after being cleared of fraud in the US alongside a tech billionaire.

Stephen Chamberlain was crossing a road when he was struck by a Vauxhall that had crested a humpback bridge on August 17 last year.

He was an associate of Mike Lynch, who died when a superyacht sank off Sicily two days later.

Mr Chamberlain, 52, suffered a traumatic head injury and was thrown 15ft in the air, an inquest heard.

Motorbiker Grahame Cornwall said the driver had no chance to stop.
