Trump staff to see Maxwell 'in days'

President's bid to calm storm over Epstein

DONALD Trump's administration will meet Ghislaine Maxwell in days as part of its renewed investigation into the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.

Attorney General Pam Bondi said her deputy, Todd Blanche, would speak to Maxwell, 63, who is in a Florida federal jail serving 20 years for sex trafficking and conspiring to recruit and groom underage girls for paedophile Epstein.

The meeting was confirmed by Maxwell's attorney, David Oscar Markus, who has been requesting meetings with Trump administration officials and has argued that Maxwell did not receive a fair trial.

He told the Mirror: "I can confirm we are in discussions with the government and that Ghislaine will always testify truthfully. We are grateful to President Trump for his commitment to uncovering the truth in this case."
