1770 windmill still grinds away on housing estate
BRITAIN'S oldest brick tower windmill, which sits on a housing estate roundabout, is still spinning after 255 years.
Holgate Windmill in York, built in 1770 in open countryside by George Waud, continues to grind grain to produce flour, which is sold in local shops.
