World's biggest half marathon is best yet as 200,000 spectators line route

TV stars and elite athletes joined a 60,000-strong mass of people pounding the streets in the Great North Run yesterday.

Boxer and reality TV star Tommy Fury, 26, who finished the half marathon in a time of one hour, 34mins, praised the 200,000 spectators that roared on the runners from Newcastle to South Shields.
