B&M ADMITS MAKING PROFIT MISTAKE

BARGAIN store chain B&M was forced to issue a £40million profit warning yesterday because of an accounting blunder.
The firm, already under pressure, admitted it hadn't properly taken account of £7m worth of overseas freight costs after updating its systems.
The error has cost finance chief Mike Schmidt his job.
