CHILDREN have chosen “peace” as their word of the year for 2025.
Research by Oxford University Press found 35% of kids chose the harmonious word, 33% picked “AI” and 21% opted for “resilience”.
Asked why they chose peace, one in 10 mentioned war and highlighted specific ongoing conflicts such as those in Ukraine and Gaza.
