CAM NORRIE is out of the BNP Paribas Open after a straight-sets defeat by American Tommy Paul.

World No.11 Paul reached the semi-finals in the competition last year and cruised into the last 16 with a 6-3 7-5 victory at Indian Wells. Norrie, who had beaten Luca Nardi and Jiri Lehecka to reach the third round, did not have his best day on court and lost four of his five service games in the opening set.
